Harvester is a Tier 2 (Tokenslot Orb ShadowTokenslot Orb Shadow) Icon UnitUnit of the Shadow faction. This ultra rare card was released with the Twilight Edition and has no affinity variants, but a promo version.

This card has been changed already, compared to its original appearance in BattleForge.

The Harvester is a card that is universally loved, hated, and sought after by most players because of its incredible power for a Tier Two card. This overwhelming early-game potential is locked behind a steep power wall, however.

Lore

Legend

A series of events brought upon me the anger of a group of bandits, and I soon found myself tied to a long tree, offered as a sacrifice to a monstrous creature. Not long thereafter, the most dreadful roar shook the tree, followed by the arrival of an even more dreadful Harvester Giant. Certain that these would be my last words, I said: “Greatest of all Giants! In your honor, my people are willing to offer you an entire group of the most spirited humans. Please take their souls as a symbol of our devotion and admiration of your Majesty. Why I am tied to a tree? To my people, I am known as a soulless coward. You would have no delight in me, but help me out and I shall guide you to your feast.”

Notes & Strategies

Harvester is, for all intents and purposes, a Power-Play card. To put it simply, this card expects you to drop a heavy cost in exchange for the power it provides, that being 300 of your precious power in order to put this monstrosity to the field. From here, you must play carefully and tactically in order to make use of Harvesters powerful kit; otherwise you will have wasted power from an ill-fated use of the card. Nowhere is this more prevalent than in Player vs Player combat.

Campaign PvE

Harvester can serve as a mighty creature to call early on into a Campaign map if you allow a surplus of power to build. While this card lacks the combat strength necessary to tackle powerful enemy creatures of greater tier, its massive siege damage can be quite helpful when taking on enemy walls or destroying towers. Summoning Skeletons can help give Harvester some meatshields to keep it safe from harm while it ransacks enemy fortifications.

Random PvE

Harvester serves well if you struggle to clear the Third and Fourth camps, as it can allow you to focus all of your buffs and strategy into a single, mighty unit. A popular method of applying Harvester is to use Unholy Power Card Icon Unholy Power and Life Weaving Card Icon Life Weaving to make it a one-unit engine of destruction, and it will generally serve this use well up until you reach Tier Four, where it loses all usefulness to you by that point.
