Lore

Legend

Bravery; individuality; strength. These are the traits prized most highly in the highlander clan of Giant Slayers. Many say they have carried out their burdensome work since the dawn of time, and none can deny the clear sense of pride they harbor. The founder of this proud clan earned his name after killing twelve mighty giants in the span of a single day. After each fight they say he would sever a finger from the huge bodies of his opponents to carry as fresh trophies. He kept them as grisly warnings to those ignorant of his martial prowess and great strength. Following this memorable victory a custom began that stated each young member of the clan must acquire this kind of trophy within seven sunsets, whatever the means. Those who fail are condemned to a lonely exile, deemed unworthy of the great legend of the clan. Many die in pursuit of these trophies, but those who succeed earn fame and respect in equal measure throughout the lands.
