Notes & Strategies
Commandos are very powerful units, much like the
. However, while they do not necessarily offer high damage output, they are capable of sustaining themselves through combat for a significant amount of time. The blue affinity can resist harm for longer periods, thanks to their resistance to ranged and magical damage. While the purple affinity can dish out significantly higher damage to humans, making fighting enemy bandits easier.
Campaign PvE
Commandos are incredibly useful when mounted on walls, thanks to their ability. However they are equally useful on the offensive, as they have solid stats to round them out.
The Blue affinity is more versatile, but the Tainted affinity is best suited to maps with alot of Bandits, due to many of them being humans.
Random PvE
Commandos are a solid choice for rPvE, though they only serve in the early game. They help deal with the enemies guarding the T4 monuments, and make decent sacrifices afterward.
PvP
Commandos are solid all-around. And each affinity has its applications, though the blue tends to serve a more widespread benefit.
Strengths
- Both affinities are very sustainable due to their lifesteal.
When Concentrate is active, both affinities are able to keep themselves in the fight for a much longer period of time thanks to heightened lifesteal.
- (Blessed) Has an edge against enemy archers and mages.
With Concentrate active, Commandos gain heightened resistance against ranged and magical damage, offering an advantage when faced with those types of opponents.
- (Tainted) Lethal against humans.
With Concentrate active, Commandos become deadly to human-type cards, as they will be dealing 50% more damage to those units. Their lifesteal is further amplified as a result, enabling impeccable survivability.
Weaknesses
- Damage output is low for T2
At only 66 damage per volley, Commandos are not a substantial source of damage at T2, their output more reminiscent of the
.While this ability offers many impressive benefits, it forces Commandos to go completely still. Foes can easily run away or out-range them while vulnerable.
