The Amazon is an expensive, but very tactically sound first tier unit that offers numerous specialized benefits to Nature's Tier 1 arsenal, and in some cases can be crucial to take along into battle.

Card Info
Active: Activate to gain control over a hostile beast unit for 15 / 20 / 20 / 20 seconds. Restricted to 1 / 1 / 1 / 2 orb units with maximum of 150 power costs. Does not work on extra-large units. The dominated unit does not grant ground presence to play out cards or claim strcutures next to it. Additionally, the unit cannot be executed by the player. Reusable every 30 seconds.
Passive: Unit takes 50% less damage when attacked by beast or forestkin units.

Amazon is fundamentally a specialist in her own making. Not only is she the ONLY tier one nature unit that has a Large counter-type, she is also one of the only nature units with a Charming ability, which allows her to temporarily steal the control of an enemy beast to her favor. This alone has very useful applications, but the Amazon also comes with some special aura effects that pertain to beasts which can be greatly beneficial to you.
Campaign PvE
Amazon primarily serves you in Campaign maps with Beast Mastery, an ability that allows her to temporarily sieze control of an enemy beast unit for a short time. This can be crucial in some situations as it can allow you to turn the tide of a fight or send the controlled beast into a fight it cannot win as a means of easily defeating it.
The Gifted Affinity in particular can be quite useful if you run her with 
Werebeasts, where the increased regeneration will be a great boon to them.
Random PvE
Amazon isn't really needed in Random PvE, as her benefits don't really serve much of a purpose short of her Gifted benefits alongside Werebeasts.
PvP
Amazon can be a very useful and important card to take into Player vs Player if you know how to make great use of her abilities. She is one of the few cards that can fundamentally counter power-play cards like the 
Sunderer.

Beast Mastery:
- Improved ability tooltip and status bar description to be more consistent.
- Cleaned up some inconsistencies regarding unit interactions where the description stated "creature" instead of "unit".
- Active ability Beast Mastery:
- Fixed inconsistent descriptions on different upgrades.
- Fixed missing upgrades in the status bar description.
- Changed the ability on controlled units from "hostile" to "friendly", so it can be disenchanted by the enemy.
- Adjusted the ability so the controlled unit regains ground presence if disenchanted.
- Improved description on card and statusbar icons about the loss of ground presence.
- Added temporary immunity to be infected with the Twilight Curse to the controlled unit.
- Added a preview of the ability radius that is displayed on hover over the activation button.
- Decreased the card's energy cost from 80 to 75 power.
